Businesses listed on Ask Ben do not receive your personal account or family information. We may provide businesses with aggregated insights, such as general trends in what families are searching for or how people interact with their listing, but these are designed not to identify individual users.

Recommendations are based on the information you give Ask Ben, including things like location, ages, interests, timing, travel preferences and budget. We also consider practical information about venues and events to help surface options that are a good fit.
Venues and events help by providing the information we need to make effective matches.

Ask Ben learns from your experiences and preferences to improve recommendations to you and other families like yours.

Some issues may take a little longer to investigate, but we’ll let you know if we need any additional information.
We work to keep venue and event information accurate, but details such as opening times, prices, availability and event schedules can change.
Where a detail is important to your visit, we recommend checking directly with the venue or organiser before setting off.
If you’re having problems with account access, listings, events, reviews, insights or billing, please contact the Ask Ben team.
Include a short description of the issue and the email address associated with your business account. If something isn’t displaying correctly, screenshots can also help us investigate.
Ask Ben is designed to help families find things to do, but every family is different. We provide information such as recommended ages and venue details wherever possible, but we always recommend checking the venue or event information before travelling, particularly for age restrictions, accessibility, opening times and booking requirements.
All venue and event postings are checked before being accepted.
Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in screen. We’ll send instructions to the email address linked to your account so you can reset it securely.
Ask Ben works best as a community. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please contact the team with the name of the venue or event and a short description of the issue. Screenshots can be helpful too.
We’ll review the information and update it where appropriate.

The options available to you will be shown in your business portal.
Ask Ben collects the information you choose to provide, such as account details, family information, preferences and information you use when making plans. We may also collect basic technical and usage information to help keep the service working properly and improve how it performs.
You remain in control of what information is stored locally on your device or backed up in the cloud. Any personal information stored in the cloud is never shared with third parties.
Please include a short description of what happened and, where relevant, what you were trying to do.
It can also help to tell us what device and browser you’re using and include screenshots of the problem. Please don’t send passwords or other sensitive information.
Where we know that an event has sold out or been cancelled, we’ll aim to make this clear on Ask Ben.
Availability can change quickly, so we recommend checking with the organiser before travelling or making plans around a particular event.
If you are the organiser, you can indicate availability through the dates tab when managing an event.
For time-sensitive questions about a booking, event or venue visit, it is usually best to contact the venue or event organiser directly.
Indicating that your email required urgent attention in the subject line, will help us prioritise effectively.
Ask Ben is growing all the time, so not every venue or event will be listed yet. If there’s somewhere you think should be included, you can let us know and we’ll take a look.
Some events may also disappear once they have finished, been cancelled or are no longer available.
